Homess Policies

Homess is a housecleaning business, now known as “we”. We have high standards and to keep those standards we need your help. In order to clean your home properly and get the most out of your money and our time, these policies must be followed.


Cleanliness Guarantee

We guarantee that your home will be clean to the highest standards. If your home is not up to our standards, please contact us within 24 hours of our departure. For refunds, management must see the house in person to confirm our standards haven’t been met.


Approved Hours

During our consultation, we will come to an agreement on how many hours you approve of. If more time is required, we will contact you. You will have up to 15 minutes after agreed time to respond to our request for more time. If there is no response, we will bill you the difference from the 2 hour deposit and leave.


Non-Refundable Deposits

We require non-refundable deposits to reduce cancellations. Our deposits vary depending on what service you are in need of. If you are booking an hourly service, we require a 2 hour deposit. 


Invoices

All invoices will be sent to your email. Before another service can be performed, all invoices must be paid.


Photos

For our own records, we will take before/after pictures and take extensive notes on everything. Nothing will be shared on our social media sites unless you give permission.


Photos- Social Media 

Some of the pictures that we take would be used in before/after pictures to post on our social media to show our skills. These photos will not have any identifiable objects that will give away any personal information. Not every photo will be posted. 


Theft

We will not steal anything but if you suspect us of stealing something please contact us. We will have before/after pictures of everything we clean/move for our own file. If we did steal something, we will return it and you may file a police report. 


Household Damage

We will not by any means purposefully damage your home. Accidents happen. If we damage anything in your home, we will rather replace it or pay you the average cost to replace/repair it.


Personal Injury

If you are aware of a danger in your home that could cause serious bodily harm (needing professional medical care) and do not tell us. We will charge you a $200 bodily harm fee and ban you from our services.


Infectious Illness

If you or someone in your household has any infectious illness (COVID, Flu, etc), you must contact us to determine if a reschedule is needed (in most cases, yes). 

If we have any infectious illness, you will have the choice of one person coming to clean (There may be an increase of charge) or to reschedule until a later date.


No Key/No Code

If we arrive and are unable to enter due to no key or no code. There will be a $50 No Key/No Code fee. We will allow one “I forgot” incident every six months. 


Cancelation Policy

If you need to reschedule, you must contact us within 24 hours of appointment. If we arrive and we are unable to complete the job, a $50 fail to cancel/reschedule fee. Emergencies will be determined per case.


Pets

All dogs must be kenneled or in a separate room while we are cleaning. We can kennel or place your dog in a separate room when we arrive under these circumstances; your dog is friendly, we set up an in person consultation, and proof of rabies vaccination. If we spend more than 15 minutes trying to kennel or place your dog in a separate room, we will leave. You will have to pay another deposit fee for your new cleaning date. 

If we are aggressively bit by your dog, needing professional medical care, you will be charged a $200 bodily harm fee. We will not return and ban you from our services. 

If you choose to place your dog in a separate room, Homess is not reasonable for any damages caused in that room or to your dog. The room will not be cleaned either. If we let your dog roam again after cleaning and we see damage or injury to your dog we will contact you right away. 

If we pick up an excessive amount, more than 2 piles per offendable pet (cat, dog), of animal feces (not in cat litter box), you will be charged a $25 pet waste removal fee.  

Cats are free to roam.


By submitting a deposit you agree to the above terms.
